SOMETHING
These days everybodys nerves are bad.
Somethings hanging in the air.
Something invisible threatening terrible.
Everybody feels it, knows its there,
cant say what it is.
It makes the big shots even more dishonest
misdirected crazy confused.
Everybodys playing games, avoiding the truth,
trying to sidestep whatevers coming down.
Theres a lot of ugliness waste yahoo
helter skelter.
People are getting more angry erratic loud
disenchanted.
Sane rational types are losing it, spouting
all kinds of racial crap, buying into wild
ideas, believing bogus theories.
The salt of the earth are stereotyping whoever
they think they dislike.
In fact, they dislike themselves; cant stand
whats churning inside their heads,
eating their guts, shredding their souls.
Anger they feel for themselves gets directed
against others, against groups, against
other countries and civilizations;
the anger generated by something in the air,
something invisible unknown ominous deadly.
